Lyrics

MARCHES
There ain’t many other marches anymore
What happened to departures of the soldiers off to war
Was it just another day
Now no one wants to say
That the many so many marched before
Too many marched before

There ain’t many people standing anymore
What happened to the voices, the plans that we endured
They got lost along the way, with little more to say
There aren’t many other marches to deplore
Not many fingers flashing anymore

In the middle of America, the middle of the world
In the middle of America believe
All the wasted words, too many never heard
The power to make war
Can be used to kill it once and for all
Peace keepers ain’t killers
and peace ain’t the reason for war

There ain’t many sitting down anymore
The multitudes are quitting like the poor
It was just another day
That all got in the way
There aren’t many more marches like before
Not many other marches anymore

In the middle of America, the middle of the world
In the middle of America believe
All the wasted words, too many never heard
The power to make war
Can be used to kill it once and for all
Peace keepers ain’t killers
and peace ain’t the reason for war
Peace keepers ain’t killers
and peace ain’t the reason for war
